Rémy Desbiens is a senior geographer who specializes in asset surveys, GIS
and project management. He holds a master degree in Geography (Geomatics)
from Sherbrooke University in Canada. Since 2012, he worked for Boréal-is on
many projects as Rio Tinto’s Simandou iron ore project in Republic of
Guinea, London mining’s Marampa mine project in Sierra Leone and GAC’s (EGA)
rail project in Republic of Guinea and Congo Brazzaville. Rémy has
accumulated an extended experience in managing, collecting and using
geographical data in West and Central Africa . By managing many teams and
projects on and off the field, he built himself a solid reputation with all
